2026 SOJRA Queen and Court Pageant
The 2026 SOJRA Queen and Court Pageant will be held:
February 21, 2026
Categories: Horsemanship, Personal Interview, Written Test and Mock TV Interview.
**Little Princess contestants will have a modified horsemanship pattern, modified written test (with pictures – reading assistance from a parent or guardian is allowed) and will have modified Mock TV interview questions.
The SOJRA Queen and Court shall consist of two ladies: 1st Place Queen and 1 Runner Up Princess. Additionally this year we are adding a “Little Princess” title for those who are between the ages of 6-9 years old.
Winning contestants (Queen and Princess) will receive the perpetual crown and chaps, in addition to a buckle and sash. Little Princess will receive a sash and crown.
The Queen and Court shall act as official hostesses of the SOJRA, as well as ambassadors for Jackson County by attending local and neighboring county events.
ELIGIBILITY
Court is open to all female contestants who currently reside in Jackson or Josephine Counties. Any contestants that reside in alternate counties who wish to compete will need approval of the SOJRA board.
Contestants must be between the ages of 14 – 18 years of age as of 1/1/2026 for the Queen and Princess titles Little Princess Contestants must be between the ages of 6-9 years old as of 1/1/2026.
Contestants must never have been married nor a parent.
Must be of good moral character and be willing to abide by the SOJRA Rules, SOJRA Court Rules and Contracts
Contestants must be currently enrolled in school and in good standing with attendance and academics. Online or In-person schools are acceptable.
- Must have her own Horse (leased or owned) and trailer for transport.
- Contestants must be willing to secure a $200.00 sponsorship if awarded positions, Little Princess must be willing to secure a $100.00 sponsorship if awarded the position.
- Any previous SOJRA Queens are not eligible to serve on the SOJRA court again.
- Princesses are not allowed to hold consecutive terms on the Court.
- Any current Princess title holder who wishes to run for a second year, must qualify for Queen to be on the court.
- Any SOJRA Queen and Court titleholder who violates the eligibility requirements and/or General Rules during the Pageant or reign will relinquish all rights and privileges of her title at the request of the SOJRA Committee.
